Charlie Galligan is nearly ninety, and he’s been a Fianna Fáiler for most of that. Brendan Smith (minister for agriculture, fisheries and food) is here making a presentation to him in the pub last night. Also in the photo are Mrs Galligan, Brian Smith, Senator Diarmuid Wilson, Mary and Seamus Galligan, Caitlin Tully, Mickey Galligan and Ciaran McEvoy.

Weekend

Sunday, February 1st, 2009

On Friday night 6th of February we’re holding a beach party to celebrate Bob Marley’s birthday. He would have been sixty four, although he died in May 1981 at the age of 36.

On Saturday we’re having a family celebration. My sister Eileen, brother John and sister Mary have all had new babies born in the last two months and they’re having a joint christening for Piper, Darragh and Tadhg. Afterwards there’s Karaoke with Billy O’Rourke. Everyone welcome…no voice too bad!

Weekend

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

This Friday night 30th January we have a table quiz to raise funds for the Crosserlough Set Dancers. These kids are doing very well. They’re in the Scor All-Ireland Final next month. If you can, put in a team of four and try to raise a few euros for them.

On Saturday night we have music with The Guitar Man. Pete and Stephen are part of the furniture here and are always good.

We’ve started serving Sunday Brunch from 11am till 4pm so if you’ve had a rough night Saturday night, this is just your man to get you back on your feet
